The standard stainless steel from mini speed XBU10046 with stud on front to fit onto the front panel lip and at the rear a open slot for a nut and bolt

Ok thats the ones i used!

has your mini had spots/fogs fitted before, I am a little confused as you say you already have holes?

Or do you mean the holes the bumper attaches too? If thisis the case you don't use these holes.

Are you fitting 2 or 4 lamps?

do you have 4 brackets?

or 2 brackets and a bar?

i think i know what this guy means i just fitted spots to mine. i tried to use the existing two holes that are about an inch from the number plate on either side. normal spot light brackets will have a problem that where you want to put the higher bolt through the panel it is impossibly to gain access behind to fit the nut.

two ways to get round it as far as i saw,

1. fit the brackets a inch or so further along so are just in line with the edge of the number plate.

or

2. mini sport do spotlight brackets for the outer edges that have a bar on the rear of the bracket to offset the mounting hole, be warned i have been told they are only suitable for genuine rover spots so best check with them on what would be suitable. like so http://www.minisport..._XBU100KIT.html

if you mean for the open slot part, i put rivnuts into the panel and put an m5 or m6 allen bolt through it.

not a fan on riv nuts if they become loose over time they can be a nightmare to get off well if you have a bolt suck in one anyway.

I removed the standard rover brackets and was able to fit the above brackets with no problems.
