just looking over some pictures and i like the look of bonnets without the seam down the middle are these custom bonnets or just smoothed out?.. oh and thanks to anyone with advice bout my gear box i got a luuurvely smooth new one now

They're custom bonnets usually in fibreglass, not seen one in years!

i kno of a guy who smoothed 1 out, i guess he went aboltu the it say way as a boot, weld and fill

i could do it out of play dough 
not sure how long it would last though probally get kids picking bits off of it
