Afternoon All,

My mini is currently sporting the chrome/stainless over arches,

(yes that was the last time it was taxed and driven lol)

which I do like but as I am turning my mini into a track car I am ditiching most of the shiney bits, except for the grille and headlamp rings.

I do plan on having carbon arches but this won't happen till it goes in for the arches to be tubbed and cage fitted etc next winter. So I need something in black to tide me over till then, as the stainless bumpers are come off in place of carbon ones. So the stainless arches will look odd with the carbon bumpers

I have been looking at Group 2's but do these fit on using the existing arch holes or do new ones have to be drilled? Also does anyone actually make any decent ones, which just fit with out hassle? I have read loads of threads after doing a search and it would seem not? Any other recommendations for arches?

My other idea was I just rub down, prime and paint my shiney arches in black. As I do like the style and size of them.

Thanks in advance.

Ben

As far as I know yes group 2 arches fit the arch standard holes. I have group 2's from huddersfield and they fit fine.

What's wrong with the special arches? Why bother spending money on other arches when you could be putting it towards the cf ones you really want.

Not a big fan of the special arches and the money side of it doesn't bother me. My stainless arches can be sold. Then the Group 2's when the time comes.

Excellent, may have to order some of those next week if I decide not to paint my stainless ones.

Am i right in thinking that the chrome arches are just covers over the standared black ones? if this is correct just take the chrome covers off and you will have black arches?

This is correct, but the standard black arches are not to my liking.
