The wiring loom for the ignition is linked to the auto gear selector. You will need to trace this back to the red & white wire (normally above the heater). Unplug the selector wires (usually green) and loop the red & white. :wink:
** if you don't do this your engine will not start as the loom will think the selector is still in gear ** :sad:
When I first did this conversion, this little mod took about a week to trace. I tried everything before realising what it was.

What else has to be done? I have been offered a mint Auto that I want to convert to Manual

that would suggest why those wires are looped LOL!Also,

Anyway,
I have PM'd you about a front subby I have spare, forgot to mention it has the top and bottom arms, cones, trumpets and tie bars, so it is ready to go. I have also got a spare pedal box for your conversion. I am prolly about an hour south-south east from you (straight down the A49). :wink:
