Its not a steering wheel, or a boss, its a piece that fits between the two.

Demon tweeks is the best place for them.

I was talking about this the other day, unsure how universal the bosses are or if they require a certain range of steering wheels to use.

they normally fit between the boss and the wheel i believe, so they need to match the pcd of the steering wheel, they do loads of omp etc, so if you have an m range wheel it will fit as i believe its the same

There are, or so im aware, only 2 types of wheel fitment for cars.

Theres the mota lita size, which is what is considered the 'classic' wheel.

And the momo, sparco, omp size.

Both use 6 bolts but 2 different PCD's

There is a 3 bolt one often seen on go-karts but it uses the same PCD as the momo, just 3 less bolts.

best ones i know of are from a company called life line, theres no shake in the locking device and locates the wheel on splines making it very secure

there rather expensive but hey, dont want my wheel coming off in my hand

I really like the look of that, looks to be a quality piece of kit.

It deffinatly is quality! my friends got one on his rally car and it feels nice and makes climbing over the rollcage a bit easier.
plus he always takes his steering wheel with him as the car isnt kept local to his home, little bit more of a deterent n such

ill hopefully be getting one next year, just to decide on which type

I generally go for the cheap and cheerful 'big spanner in the boot' for releasing my steering wheel when parking it in less desirable areas hehe. :xmas:

on the link i provided, any of the ones apart from the top one which is a 3 bolt fixing.

The bottom one requires you to cut the steering shaft and weld on a fixing with splite on the end.

so either of the middle 2 depending what you use it for. The reason for the diferent colours is i believe you need contrasting colours for some homoligation rules which is why their gold and black...not entierly sure there though :xmas:

(and i see ":L" posted elsewhere and no idea what it means :) )
