Also they are not much harder to setup and they dont get out of tune quicker.

On a tuned 998 like that, twin 1.25" are ideal

lol...you guys!!!!! it sounds like you have already made your mind up that you are getting the twins, so whats the point in doing a poll lol.

on a tuned 998, I'd deffo go for twins. I used to have a set and they sounded great and looked the business! Not quite up to the current engine output so I got rid of them, but I still reckon they are a good bit 'o' bling! :wink:

Would twin 1.25" be overkill for a 998 stage one?

They would work OK on a 998 with a stage 1 kit (though you'd be dumping most of the stage 1 bits I guess).
You wouldn't necessary get the best gains possible out of them though, unless you had head modifications and maybe an uprated camshaft etc.

So is it quite pointless unless i do other mods to it as im not moding the engine any further.
Also i thought it would be good as im having terrible fuel problems at the moment which i cannot cure.

i reckon twins on your car would be fine Jackman. The only thing you would be removing of the stage one kit is the manifold and needle, but that is the bit you are replacing with twins
