i removed the loom from the rover vi myself and unpicked it all making sure we had everything we needed, but my god there was allot of wiring compared with other conversions!
we also sent the ecu away to get it de-imobilsed or whatever you want to call it, my mate did take it for a short test drive, so our wiring cant be too far off!

Trouble with the rover wiring is there are so many colour wires between the models, that it is virtually impossible to tell you. Even on the same models they changed colours withing a couple of months.we have pretty much completed our conversion, but we are still not sure of the wiring, does anyone know what has to be hooked up with what to get it running?

You are best to follow a wiring diagram (haynes) and take out all unnecessary wires that way, best of luck

if you search google for the rave cd that tells you everything ypou will need to no, ive done a 1.8vvc conversion my self, the wiring is very easy once you look at the rave cd, only ball ach i had was seeing the rover loom was so big i had to take approx 2m out of the lenght of the loom which ment hrs of soldering lol
good look with the rest of the build
thats what i pretty much did, its a far cry from vauxhall engined stuff! never again!
