I am hoping to visit Cambodia once again with Mission Direct in February (5th - 20th)
Its getting close to the start date for the project and we desperately need to raise the funds to make this happen and to get to Cambodia, so please if you can the mini forum members help us (even with a minimum donation of a few pounds from people no matter how small) it will all help, donate online www.justgiving.com/brettanddonna
Our project will be to build an HIV centre for Cambodia’s slum children who have inherited the HIV virus through no fault of their own. The centre will feature three classrooms and a clinic to offer the children food, medication and an education.
Cambodia:
- Nearly half of all Cambodian children are malnourished, and one in eight dies before their fifth birthday.
- Cambodian life expectancy is under 60 years, and the average age is under 20.
- Near 34% of all Cambodians are surviving on less than a dollar a day.
- Many families have no access to health care and have been deprived from even the most basic knowledge or education
I will be celebrating my 40th Birthday while in Cambodia, so instead of buying me a beer or a gift, please help me get to Cambodia!
building walls and laying foundations in 34deg heat, "happy birthday!!"
Thank you,
Brett
