Hi folks,

The cars in the garage getting bodywork and resprayed just now and today when i went round we were discussing the bonnet. I've bought two leather straps for the bottom of the bonnet and currently it has two bonnet pins at the top that secure it down. Question is, is there any other method of fixing at the top as im not a huge fan of bonnet pins :) Would it look silly with another two leather staps at the top? If not i might just have to go for some new shiny bonnet pins lol
PS, My bonnet has the catches etc cut off and just lifts off

Show us some pics :gimme:

Cheers everyone :)

Cheers for the replies guys, i had a look at those aerocatch fasteners, they look cool but think theres a bit of work involved with them haha

Have bought some more bonnet catches just there, but after i bought them i browsed around Demon Tweeks and spotted these;

which look sweet as, and are what i was looking for. So i might just order them as well and save the bonnet catches i bought as spares.

The only thing that puts me off bonnet catches is that my mates have a tendency to nick my bonnet when its parked up haha, and i go out to find my mini sitting there with all its glory hanging out haha.

When I can afford it I want to get rid of Huey's bonnet pins & spring clips (they seem naff now with his more retro look) and fit an internal bonnet release with slide-in retainers at the rear so the bonnet will still come right off but will be neater and more immune to tampering/theft.
