Hi I'm looking into changing my front hub geometry, but I need an accurate drawing with dimensions of a standard mini front hub. I've tried many searches but to no avail, anyone able to help ?

Try contacting Mini Sport, they have recently had the front hubs remade in alloy so must have some accurate drawings they may be willing to share.

Z cars might be a better bet, being more of a hands on chassis building company?

The figures I know are 3 degrees castor, and 9 1/2 degrees KPI. King pin incline being the only dimension fixed in the swivel hub. The CV joint should pivot on the intersection of the kingpin axis with the axle.

Metro hubs might be worth a look; Force, make 'em in Titanium so you could ask them. You can actually alter the KPI a bit by spacing the lower ball joint, but it would decrease the angle so not much use on a Mini upright. It might be useful for fine tuning a Metro's though, and easier with their sealed joints.

Don't think I've actually seen a quoted Metro KPI, please share if you find it.

There was an old mini mag issue were they went thorough and compared the geometry of using metro hubs and mini hubs and what the effects were, I’ll see if I can find it…

I found it (June 2010 minimag issue 173) but it doesn’t go into as much detail as I thought.

All I can find from it are the ball joints centres are half an inch further apart bellow the hubs centre line. And that the camber changes from 5/8 positive on mini hubs to 1.1/4 inch positive on the metro ones.
