Hey guys, my mini leaks so when the weather gets a bit better im going to replace and work on all the seals and windows etc, but i figured an upgraded screen could be handy for next winter, so has anyone got this screen;

wow that's a lot of money for a screen but if it does what it says on the tin then it would be worth it, I'm also interested

Its not like the rear screen, you have to actually look for the wires. Ford have had it in their cars for decades
I thought ford also patanted them too, but cant remember how minispares got to use them

Ive got one fitted in mine it works ok, but its a lot quicker to use the blower!

It was handy when it was covered in ice in the mornings though!!!

There certainly worth every penny in my opinion, i have one on my Ford daily and also installed one on my old 205 gti.

The price seems about right but you could try a search for motorsport/rally parts suppliers who may be able to provide one a bit cheaper, for my 205 we had a batch of 25 made as a group buy, the were around £115 iirc.

Yep - price looks about right when you consider Minispares need a profit margin. I got one for the GTM when the owners club had a batch made and it was similar money to that including postage. I also managed to get my hands on one from the same place for a MkI Sierra with a bronze tint which is going in my RS200. It's almost impossible to get hold of MkI Sierra screens nowadays and the man from Autoglass told me they have to get MkII screens and take a glass cutter to them (you would have to be braver than me).
