Thanks for the replies. As for the Midas, i had advertised it on the midas owners club 3 times, i had it on ebay countless times, i had it in the TVT twice with not so much as a sniff of interest. I then re advertised it on the Midas owners club site as FREE to collector and even phoned the Midas factory in Clanfield and told them it was FREE and again no interest. It was this point when i decided or rather the wife decided she would like a mini in the family so thge best thing for it was to use parts from the midas as donor parts, Front sub, engine, steering rack radius arms and brakes being as they were all new when i built the midas and had only done 40 odd miles since. The midas was a bit of an impuls build and the reality of it was that it was to low for me to drive (my head was touching the roof all the time and bumps well you can immagine what happens when you hit one). This left me with a complete body and the rest that wasnt going to be used on a mini project so i cut it up and disposed of it.
I do still however have parts of it in the garage.
Front windscreen (was new when built)
Rear screen and lock (also new when built)
Rear gas rams for rear screen
rear quater windows
Both doors Complete with glass, locks and door mirrors
N/S spare mirror glass (all origional)
Speedo and rev ounter cluster (metro)
Stainless Midas exhaust silencer
Heater box (mini with matrix)
Steering colum (minus stalks) but with ignition barrel
Pedal box (mini modified)
1275 gear box (3.44FD)
Rear coil overs (custom made for me by Spax and done only 40 miles)
Drive shafts
Thats all i can think of from the top of my head so if anyone is interested then make me an offer.

Sacrilege!!

Did it have a Midas V5 too?? Dont want to sound rude, but after spending all that time building it, why just cut it up??

There must be about 10 members on the Midas Owners club, last time I went on the site was years ago.
Surely you would have been better putting it on ebay, car and classic, pistonheads, even TMF! Seems such a waste!!
Im not suprised the factory werent interested, they produce Cortez's, im suprised their still going lol .....
I fit in my dads Mk1 fine, im over 6ft , and use the Huntmaster buckets supplied with the kit, I would love to have a pair of Midas'

Rear coil overs (custom made for me by Spax and done only 40 miles)
How much for the coilovers??
