Austin Mini
1961

My mini did not come with the ferrule that attaches to the throttle cable before coming through the firewall. It basically stops the plastic shroud on the cable from coming through the firewall.

I borrowed the part for a local mini mechanic, but I was unable to find anything solid. I did find a few fall back options, but I would still like to find the correct part.

It looks like this.

My mini was missing it when I got it. Does anyone know any online sites that might sell something like it or know of the original part?

Thank you.

Ya, I checked my other side and no such luck. I have been to many bike shops and have a fall back option from one of them, I would still like the correct part if at all possible though.

My cable that I bought from Minispares a few weeks ago came with this piece firmly crimped onto the end.

It was a right bugger to get the old one out though, >_<

get in touch with them then, if it was meant to come with one but didn't, then I'm sure they'll send you one, if not sell you one

Yes it's part of the cable. Get in touch with Mini Spares.
