Hello

I'm strongly considering a itg air filter for my mpi mini. Would anybody have one or know of anyone who is running one. Are they any good? Will I need the car setting up on a rolling road or will it be ok to run straight out of the box. I have a maniflow back box on already if that is any help

Regards
Scott

You won't need a rolling road for changing an air fliter on an MPI, the ECU will automatically ajust the mixture.

As for the filter I've never used an itg, but Vizard says K&N so I have a K&N on my MPI.

I used to have a K+N 57i on my MPI many moons ago, I ran it with a play mini cat back system.

I was going to put it on Ebay but havnt got round to it. It's in the garage if you would like it for a small donation?

It will need cleaning. If you would like some pictures PM me and ill go photo it for you

Thanks

a mate of mine in our mini club runs an itg air filter on his 1399 N/A engine. it is race tuned tho. i asked him the same question you are asking and he says they are very good and you defo see the difference on the RR and when racing but if it is for a road going car then its not realy necessary to spend that amount of money as you wont see much difference on the road.

I've got an ITG filter element in mine (from Camskill) and it very good. Nice deep intake sound. Prefer it now to the K+N element.
