had one for about 3 yrs, we've got 4 mini's between our family so is great for emmisions testing. Seems pretty accurate MOT readings are normally same .

Have found that how far you push the probe up the exhaust makes a difference so I have a piece of tape to show how far.

Could you measure that distance for me please? - end to tape.

Got one myself and its a handy tool if you like fettling with the carb end of things.

Don't worry about the rattling noise, it uses the exhaust gas pressure to power a diaphragm pump in the unit. Take a while to let the unit find an 02 baseline before ramming it up your tailpipe (so to speak  ) and be aware that it takes a short while to settle to a reading.

Oh, and if you can't get the rev counter working even though your sure you've got it on the correct coil terminal .. try the other one

The distance seems to change depending on exhaust, my sisters as a big bore centre rc40, and I find how much I insert the probe is different to my maniflow center exit.
I set mine based on an MOT reading it had just got.

got one of ebay years ago, great bit of kit for passing mot, lean the carb off to get it through then set it back to a richer setting to get the car to run right afterwards - great (ps this is in reference to my previous MGBs running crap HIFs)
