I'm also 35, and will be looking for a guaranteed value, limited mileage policy that preferably allows some track usage- if there is such a policy.
It's good to have dreams- they drive ambition, but reality can be a real p*sser sometimes!

I had mine with Adrian flux, premium wasn't too bad but they dont do laid up cover and when i cancelled i got whopping extra charges. Still cheaper than keeping it running and not using the car but u dont get any no claims building up.

just to add... I found Graham Sykes 100 quid cheaper than Adrain lux for my R1 mini

Ask for kit car insurance. The guy I spoke to had his own track car and knew all about z-cars so this helped. Had to send pics and a letter from z-cars stating what it was worth to get the agreed value.

Just had a quote off them this afternoon, under £300 in the end and the same applies with pictures and a letter from z-cars
