opinions / experiences n potential downsides are as i am planning a new project later this year and this

down side is fibre glass itches to work in and earthing can be a head-ache. Other than door wobbling if your going for fibreglass doors i can't think of any downsides. I have a minus myself but that is a different kettle of fish because of a mere 3" taken out of the body work! Check out my build if your interested. Regards Blue

Thanks Blue , yea i know its horrid stuff to work with (12 year working as an HGV mechanic , Most bolt on panels are fibreglass) , couldnt go with a minus myself , can only just get my head inside a standard mini , but will definately be checking your build out , i was considering reshelling a wreck into a heritage shell but with the cost of an heritage shell being nearly twice that of the ABS fibreglass and fibreglass doesnt rust so still weighing up the options . will be many months before i get some work space anyway so plenty of time to decide

one down side compared to a straight forward reshell is you are building a kit car using a fibreglass shell and must register and test for this

but if you used all new parts (i think 1 can be a recon old bit) you could end up with a new reg on your mini
