Is the glass on opening and non opening rear windows the same? Is it a case of removing the opening metal gubbins and changing the rubbers to convert from opening ones to fixed ones?

P.S. I need a full set of door seals, boot seal and window seals if any of you traders would like to sell me any when I have the answer to the above. I'd prefer to get them from you guys than anon traders on ebay.

The glass is a different size so whilst what you suggest is a good idea, it won't work.

Easiest option is to stick an ad on here suggesting a swap, as people with sealed windows often want to swap for openers ("the grass is always greener" and all that!!)

For rubber trim I would give "Phoenix Supplies" a call, they have a trade stand on the "mini show" circuit over the summer so you may have seen them around. They seem to stock every conceivable type of trim & rubber for the classic mini & they also seem to be a lot more competitive on price than anywhere else I've tried. They're based in Devon so they are hardly local to you, but they do have reasonable P&P rates. (email: [email protected] or Tel: 01884 849294)

thanks for that I'll give them a try

problem with a swap is the opening windows i have are not in good nick, the metalwork is corroded. I think I'll tart them up a bit and use them until I decide what to do...
