Presumably this is the honda D series instead of the k series as you asked in the honda section. I'm planning the same d series engine swap in my cooper
Bulk head needs modifying to accomodate the inlet, unless you fit a different inlet of course.
Rover K series more or less falls in >_<

falls in then blows a head gasket.. lol.. go vtec.. theres no point in doing a conversion for reliability and putting in a rover k series.

Nothing wrong with k series, the owner is the main problem

Reliabilty isn't a problem if there looked after correctly!
Such a crap engine they decided to fit them in elises, caterhams and atoms.

^^^^^^^^

Any engine is reliable, unfortunately the owners aren't, change the gasket and what nots at the start of the build and job done :)

i uses a k series engine in my race car as long as you fit an uprated gasket and do the right maintance you shouldn't have a problem my engine did 12 runs at santa pod and drove all the way round to the start line after each run at mini in the park its fitted with a custom ported head low range gearbox and most importantly no thermostat its now had a set of exige throtle bodies and a emerald ecu the problem with these engines ius the thermostat no stat no problem
