Hi everyone,

I'm having my mini rewired next week, and am thinking about replacing the headlamps for some that actually illuminate the road. What do people recommend?

It seems that the options on the table are either Angel Eyes, or some other form of halogen light.

Can people give me some recommendations as well as letting me know the best place to buy these.

Also, how easy is it to replace these? I'm having the electrics done by a professional, but if i can do these myself then i will. I'm good with the mechanics (converted the Mini from auto to manual last summer), but electrics are a bit of a mystery to me.

Headlamps are simple to change - no worries there. Wipac halogens seem to be popular - avoid the angle eyes if you want to see.......

Has no one else got an opinion on this? That's very unlike TMF. Must be the time of day.

I would recommend Wipac free forms (new model) from 1st hand experience - good lght, good price. I have heard good things about Cibbie lights, but not experienced these myself.

because you struggle to fit them to a mini legally...

Fit halogens with ultra bright phillips bulbs - more than bright enough.
