Hi all first post and all that

I have just bought a 2007 cooper s , When the car is on idle it sounds a bit tappy , Had the car a couple of weeks now it doesnt use any oil and it has only cover 26k , Not sure what mileage the tappets need adjusting or do the Minis just sound like that , Also sometimes when I lift the bonnet I get a smell of oil but cant seem to see any leakage ?

Hi Sam

This forum is mainly for the classic mini so I think you might find our knowledge of the BMW Mini is limited. We would hate to give you bad advice on an engine problem, so may I suggest you try MINI2 forum which, being more focused on the new mini, will give you better help than we can.
