Hi Guys,

picking up a little '92 Cooper tomorrow, got a few snaps from its advert, wants a bit of paint work but otherwise is pretty tidy.

the ad:

1993 K Plate Mini Cooper
59,785 miles (only 9,000 in the last 4½ years)
11 months MOT
5 month tax
Plenty of service history.
13” Minilite wheels with Yokahama tyres (plenty of tread left).
Flared arches.
Twin exhaust rear pipe.
Half leather interior in good condition.
Just spent over £440 on new rear shocks, CV boots and exhaust downpipe.
The car has a Bill Richards Racing 1293cc replacement engine fitted in 2005 (£1,098)
New Clutch fitted 2,000 miles ago. Along with catalytic converter, etc. for £550
New inner sills in 2008
New JVC CD player with iPod connection fitted 10 months ago.
New Mountney steering wheel.

the plan is simple, tidy it up and swap out some bits to make it how i want it

exhaust has to go for starters.

its mainly for the missus to learn to drive in but i can see myself driving it a fair bit, i've got a Saxo i use for track days at the moment but i have a place in my heart for mini's after the one i had about 9yrs ago. i'll no doubt be loitering on here and asking the same questions as all the other newbies so bear with me

cheers!

update!

picked it up this evening.

bit dark but a few things i've noticed,

it needs an engine mount or two
the steering wheel nuts (6 of them) are finger tight and work themselves loose when you drive it lol
wipers are shot
rev counter isnt working

nothing major a few tweeks and should be running sweet.

need to work out what i should be letting it rev too also and i think ill give it a service
