When my lights are turned on, the right hand rear light constantly has its brake light on (it is brighter than usual, like when braking). The left hand light however is functioning perfectly normally. I have tried changing the bulb, but it made no difference - has anyone got any ideas what may be causing this?
Thanks

Yeah, lights turned on and both tail lights are on and 1 brake light too. When lights turned off, both brake lights work fine.

sounds stupid, but you have got the bulb in the right way round? It is possible to fit them 180 degrees out, then when your lights are on it's powering the brake light filament.

Thanks, I'll look into all those things! Hopefully the bulb is in the right way round, that would be embarassing! If they fail, I'll track the wires back and look for a dodgy earth. Thanks!

Yeah thanks. As embarassing as it sounds, it was just as you suggested - the bulb was fitted 180o out! Thanks for the replies!
