Hey Guys, I have been on here a lot more than I would have liked to at the moment.
Thanks again to the guys who helped out with my exhaust!!
The problem i have is this mega annoying squeaking noise. It sounds like its coming from behind my speedo.
It's a kind of rubbery squeakingy noise thats rubbing against something, it goes faster with the engine revs and will kind of creak when crawling.
I have done all of the obvious checks (wheel well, general engine bay paroosel) but to no avail. It doesn't matter what way I'm turning or what surface I'm on, so cant be sure its the wheel bearing.
Just wondered if anyone can shed any light before i lose my mind because of the noise! Many thanks!!!
Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?: 12x5" Revo's- dont think these are too bad for wearing out steering components....but still!

Fan belt isn't near the bulkhead and would make a squeal rather than a squeak.
The squeak may be coming from a few places, Speedo cable is probably the one i'd look at first and then have a look to see where the wiring loom comes into the cabin through holes in the bulkhead, sometimes a grommet can get worn and wriggle around on the metal causing a squeaking noise, another possibility is the wiper blades wriggling around on the windscreen causing a squeaky rattle.
I also get a rather strange squeak from the bonnet pins on my clubby, I dont know if you have them but they can cause a squeak as the pins rattle about.
If you cant find where its coming from, remove your exhaust completely, or turn your stereo up to 11, you wont be able to hear anything then.

The noise only when I am moving. If I'm moving really slowly its like that classic horror movie door opening creak.
Yeah fanbelt is all nice and tight..........not too tight.
Cheers for the heads up on the speedo cable and grommit!! Thats my plans for tonight sorted then!
Strangely enough my dash binnacle bit (2 clock) was a bit loose and was vibrating away so hopefully it has shaken it loose!!!
Thanks for all of your help guys (love this forum) I will let you know how i get on!!
