A little bit of an update, had an afternoon working on Wilf today, started off by vacing the complete interior, then put the cigerete lighter in, fixed a split breather pipe, then drained some coolant and filled it up with antifreeze and finally replaced the trim which ot knocked off when the tyre went pop. I also bought a new stainless steel bumper, no bents, for £15. Good to have friends in high places.

Wilf had his MOT last Wednesday, I knew it was gunna fail as the exhaust was loose and leaking. But it also got a red sheet for the the CV gaitor was split, the subframe mounts were worn, the washers didn't work and finally there was only a minor pieces of welding, as in it needed a piece about 30x20cm2. But we fixed it at work yesterday. So I got payed to work on Wilf at work. :P. All ready for L2B

I made to L2B without no problems, even with four people, a tent, a duevet, a sleeping back and all of the other bits. Unfortunately I didn't see anyone from here, but I did see a couple of members cars. Would love to know if anyone else saw me as I arrived late to Crystal Palace.

As Wilf's been struggling to start in the mornings or when it's cold. So on Monday I orded a new electronic ignition kit. It arrived today and has just been fitted. Lovely, starts first time. What a great sound the a-series is. :)

Been a while since I've updated this, but I need to, some of you may have seen my topic that Wilf died just before Christmas, and needs a new engine, so whilst I'm putting another engine in, I'm doing odds and sods of maintenance, and make it a bit more show ready. I've just got a parcel from Minispares, with shiney bits and silicone hoses :D Posted Image

I got them new from MiniSpares, for the price on there, minus my TMF+ discount. Next plans are going to get it running, and get it rolling roaded and enjoy it though the summer. Maybe get some cooper 's' or 4.5 minilights. Keep it retro :D

This is exactly the same year and colour as my mini HL and I'm going to keep it the same accept maybe change it from auto to manual! (one day) I've done a lot of little bits to my mini,
New grill, bumpers seam strips roof and wheel arches, new wheels, fitted my own cigeratte lighter, radiator, alternator, water pump electric fan, head, brakes but thinking about changing them to discs ( is there any up or down sides to changing them from drum to disc?)
I'm also looking to put a stereo in but the one I have got is to big to fit in the dash area, I'm not sure how to go about it now! Could do with some advice please! This is my first mini and I'm learning as I go along as I wish to save some money but not dodge anything! Thanks
