I love the colour, it's so unusual! This is also my first road going mini and is also my first car! I started to keep it original and slowly I've changed more and more pieces. I think the manual conversation sounds like a good idea, even though I've got an auto car, there is nothing like a manual mini getting thrashed :D

That sounds like a lot of changes which I have also made, expect the wheels, arches and electric fan, but I want a set of new wheels as said above, and a leccy fan for when I'm in traffic. Upside to discs is far superior braking, and less maintence, but the down more brake dust.

Think that's everything. If you see something which I've missed comment or PM me and I'll try and advise you as I can.

I haven't got arches yet, as I don't really like them but my new wheels are quite wide so I might just have to put some on!
If I find a auto engine I will just replace my auto with that and continue my search for a manual clubman! as that's my favorite one!;-)
P.s how did you come up with your name for your mini, I can't think of what to call mine the colour isn't catchy and the number plate is boring! Lol my other cars had names due to number plates being obviouse lol

My mum always has names for her cars, and said said as its got so much character, he needs a name, and one morning we were rattling off names and I said Wilf, as it's an old, the colour suited, and the number plate starts with a W.

Well I was taking the engine out of Wilf, and requested help from my brother and a digger, but he's not the best driver. So this happened to my front panel.

Dad said we could straighten it, but it isn't worth it, as it's getting a bit crusty, so we're going to replace it. I'm thinking about a commerical grille though, as I love PanelBeaterPeter's car. Got to convince dad first.

When I got to the yard today, dad had told me he'd been prodding the mini to find some holes, he found on in the passenger footwell, and one near the rear bin on the driver side. Pictures:

Then he found this piece of fibreglass, or something similar, which he worded as 'cheating'
Posted Image
Need to sort out this rear bench
Posted Image
Finished stripping the back end out
Posted Image
Also cleaned up and painted the oil filter housing, petrol pump and dizzy, what an amazing difference it makes!

That's all folks!
(for today anyway)

Rear valence

Rear seam moulding strips

Then I introduced Wilf to two new friends, and they're twins, the grinder brothers, mr 4.5" and mr 9" and I got cutting with the front panel and rear valence

Posted Image
The I only cut the middle section until dad gets there as I require his advice.

Then I cleaned up the bottom of the wings ready to fit the new front panel

Anyone out there?

I went to Brooklands yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed my day, and got a couple of bits, namely a RC40, twin box as that's all I could find, and a front indicator lense which I broke when I removed it, no pictures, but will try and get some tomorrow.
