Right.... Im going to attempt to put my "all the bits are in the boot mate" (1994 cooper spi) car back together this weekend, a couple of simple questions:

There are 2 fuel pipes in the engine bay, obviously feed and return. which is which??? i have one marked with green and one orange if that helps!!
I suppose an easy way to find out would be to get a froend to stare directly into them both at the same time and turn the engine over :)

next - there are loads of connectors for the ecu, sensors, injection etc. is there a pdf diagram available??

I just bolted mine in and had the same question. Here is my 94 before I took it apart. Best idea i had was to take photos of everything as it came off. Anyway:

So, the smoother bent pipe goes to the front union and the pipe with the wiggle in it to the back one. Hope this helps. Pix arent loading for some reason. Email me and I can send you them.

Also note that these lines were color coded when new. Mine still show the colors. They were green and orange. Green for the wiggly line (talking about the metal bent pipes, not the rubber section of course) and orange for the smoother one. The green is your return line and the orange in your feed line. Green towards the back and orange towards the front AND green on top of orange as to how they rest. The green line bolts to the upper position and orange to the lower on the bracket that holds them in place that is located on the back of the intake.

IF that makes any sense at all, good. If not please let me know and I'll send a picture. They certainly are worth a thousand words.

No problem. Yeah, the wires were another issue. Without all the pic I took, I would have never figured it out. I wanted it to be exactly as original so the wires had to be the original locations. Took a little time but it all seems to have gone in perfect.
