Hello there this is a bit of a complicated one but hopefully someone can put my mind at rest.
My mini was used for historic rallying in the past and lately i have been tarting a few parts up.
So i bought a pertronix ignitor kit to get rid of the points. The problem i have is that i think now it is not compatible with my car as after fitment i have a problem!
It wasn't until i went to fit the kit that i remembered the Car has a microdynamics alpha plus fcd contact triggered ignition system with rev limiter built into it so when i dissconnect this the car fires and runs with the pertronix its a little rough but i suppose the timing needs checking.
As soon as i connect the microdynamics back into the circuit the car cuts out and will not start. Am i correct in thinking that these two are in compatible or am i missing something

Im thinking that i will. I kept all the bits and pieces (box etc) so may try and take it back shame i thought that they worked with such systems
