sounds almost like the problem i had when i picked up my mini, it would be as if it slot into gear fine but then just wouldnt drive at all, i aint figured out my problem yet, im putting it down to work clutch arm, plunger and definatley the release bearing, and im puttin a new clutch in for safe measure lol :lol:

Well ive not diagnosed the problem :lol: , but I took the engine out and split it from the box, expecting the gearbox to have something wrong with it, but it was perfect. The only thing I can possibly think of now, is that the flywheel had slipped on the crank, as there were very light scorch marks on the nose of the crank, but the locking nut was still torqued up tight.

This past week, we fitted everything back together, and placed the engine back in the car, and weirdly its now working fine. The hydraulics were all check prior, clutch, aswell as cv joints etc.

Hopefully it'll be working fine now, when I go out on a test drive with it in abit, but we're still puzzled as to what caused it..
