Hi everyone...
i really like the black and grey old registration mark and i was wondering if i could buy it somewhere to put on my "93 K reg mini, but in looking for a website on registration mark, i read on wikipidia that it is actually illegal to drive around with one, unless your car was made prior "73.
Is that true? i have seen mini R reg, T reg and G reg around with that registration plate so i'm a bit puzzled by it..
Can someone let me know if i could actually buy one somewhere for my car or if its actually not possible?

Nothing stopping you driving around with them on... except the LAW!

Expect a fine and a serious talking to from the police when caught.
Maybe even a flag on their system to be stopped and checked all the time (yes it has happened!).

Is it really worth all this?

Maybe get a set for off road/shows, but just because someone else is doing it doesn't make it legal.

Yes it's true.

Some respectable places will ask for V5 before making plates in that style, yes. but not all.

Personally, they look rubbish on cars post '73 anyway...
