As title im 19 helf licence for around a year an half but have only been a named driver for that time so ther for have no NCB. how much are other people with similar details paying? i would like a fully comp policy, ive typed details into some of the online sites an best ive had is around £1900 which i thought was a bit on the steep side.

car is a 1989 racing flame

my friend who is 17 y/o with zero no claims and a 998 had to pay about £2k. so unless price drops due to age from 17-19 I would say thats about the current ball park unless you can get classic insurance ( Footman James )

online sites are *******, best to phone, try footman james and adrianflux, im nearly 20 and have been driving for nearly 3 years, with a clean license and never made a claim, i pay just under 900 for a 1330 with loads of mods declared, fully comp.

ive a clean licence aswell an never made a claim of any sort, dose footman james not only do 25's an over? gona go threw the yellow pages tomoro an ring a few an see what i can get i just thought 1900 was steep an that was insureing the car for around 750. also dose anyone no if at 19 you can get classic insurance and if so dose it offer 3rd party extension as that is something that would be handy 2 have

if your under 25 you need to phone them, but yes they will cover. Ive found adrianflux to be better for modified cars than footman james, who will not cover me for my intended mods (turbocharging).

Classic Insurance does not include 3rd Party extension.
Reason is you shouldn't really have classic insurance unless you have a fully insured other car.

Normally now you don't get third party extension for anyone under 25 on any type of policy.
