Fitted mine at the weekend. Two Lucas 20 20 driving lamps on the outside, centre one is also a Lucas, can't remember which. Testing last night on dark country lanes was good, I had to turn them off when I came up on a place with lots of road signs, the reflection was too bright.

I bought it from Huddersfield spares. You have to take the front bumper off and drill new holes on the metal which the bumper bolts on to. After bolting the bar on, the bumper goes back on. Then, at the top of the bar behind the middle spotlamp, a bracket is fixed between the bar and the bonnet release (There are two bolts there, you just undo them and put them back on through the bracket as well).

The bar actually sits at more of an angle than I expected it to, the top end sticking out more than the bottom whereas I thought it would be more vertical.

They only come on with main beam (I'm guessing this is also high beam? I hadn't heard anybody say high beam until yesterday).

Thats only place I have seen one at mo, did you buy recently? and did you buy just the bar or with 5" or 6" lamps they sell it with?
I see how it fits quite simple then really and no mods to bodywork that wont be hidden by bumper if you decide remove the light bar.

I see from side you mean bar does not stand vertical? do you think it could be modded to be vertical?
I did notice on Huddersfield there is an option for mk1 grill or mk2 on, wonder what the difference is I presume you got the mk2 on version?

Yeah same thing, ive always said low and high beam, but main is when you flash and the littel blue indicator lamp comes on and lights up the road higher for unlit roads etc but
dazzles on coming users.

I think I remember seeing a thread on here a while back linking to ones on ebay. Huddersfield are the only place I could find selling them though. I bought the bar on it's own, my dad had a box of lamps of different sizes and types, so he's donated them to me, although I shall be paying him back kindly fathers day/birthday >_<

I did buy the Mk2 version, I think the only difference is the top fixing method, because the bar and the top bracket came separately. IIRC, the bag which the bracket came in was labelled Mk2 Onwards. However, the bar could be different as well, but I'm quite certain there was no label on that saying it was for Mk2 onwards.

I'm not sure about modding it to be vertical. Without the top bracket on, you could make it vertical but you wouldn't be able to get the bracket on because the top of the bar would be too high up. I don't think there is anything stopping the top of the bar being pushed back so that it is vertical, though, so I suppose if you could make your own custom bracket, you could make it sit vertically. Don't take that as the truth though, I may be wrong and I wouldn't want people blaming me if they bought one and couldn't make it sit vertically.

Yea found that thread i think or one but it was like 2007-08 so no longer on ebay etc. I would do same but bar first then lamps seperately.

hehe I see, I asked in case that was reason it not vertical but expect its just the way it is, is it that bad that you notice it? have you got a side on pic?

If you're side on, you notice it. Standing in front of it, it's not too noticeable except that the spots are quite a bit in front of the car. I haven't got a side picture, I posted all I have but I can take some more tomorrow.

I have no idea of the make of my lights, as I purchased the whole lot second hand as it stands. I have always liked how they looked so snapped it up when one came available.

Although they haven't got them listed on their Ebay page: bridgers_spares did use to sell them, might be worth dropping them a message.
