I need two new front tyres for the Mini. It's got no MOT or anything so I don't want the faff of removing the wheels and taking them to a Mini garage and getting them changed - anyone know of a company that will come to your door and change the tyres for you ? I'm near Derby if that helps

Al

you can take tyres of quite easily but putting new tyres on is nearly impossible with out a machine especially radials to alloys. im sure quick fit will be able to fit you some tyres if you buy them and take the wheels and tyres to them the will only charge you for the effort sometimes even free. we did this to my sisters micra to get some snow tyres and the had no problem.

not sure of a company, but surely you can just take the wheels off and take them to anygarage that fits tyres as long as they have tyres

edit: a quick search on google found this

http://www.kwik-fit....ile-fitting.asp

but its going surely be more expensive then taking them there yourself

Kwik Fit and many other big chains will come to your home, or wherever else you might be.

I have fitted my own tyres in the past, but only with steel rims, wouldn't like to do it on my alloys.

It was fairly difficult, but all it took was an air compressor some washing up liquid and 2 big screwdrivers.

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself though, take the wheels off and take it to the right place.

I have used www.etyres.co.uk in the past, but not for the mini. The service and price was excellent - ordered on Monday, came and fiited at home on Tuesday and were cheaper than taking tha car to Kwik-Fit, ATS etc. While the chap was doing our family motor he did say that they were quite happy to do the mini and did have tyres in stock.

Might be worth a look.
