i brought the car from a guy not to long ago it had been sitting up his drive for about a year and when you try and rev the car up it takes abit of time to build up to a hi rev and while im trying to rev it up it sounds like its popping not popping in they way of back fire just apopping noise from the exhaust and when you do get to a serton rev its okay
also when the car is warmed up it runs abit better Does it just need a good tune up or is there something wrong opinions please
thank you

If the car has the same petrol in for a year the petrol can break down and not burn correctly, you could drain it off and put fresh in, or even a drop of octane booster for a better ignition burn, if things do get better you'll know it could be fuel problem, also the float chamber dries up when a car stands a long time, this causes the needle valve in the chamber to stick or partly stick, which could starve your engine, Good luckhi i have got a 1991 mini city e auto
