so finally getting round to restoring it after nagging at dad for 11years , its finally away for paint thank god! its being painted in green with white on top , its a british van right hand drive not an import getting very collectable these days dad has owned 8 vw t2 and rebuilt them back in the days before they where collectable .

we are also currently building a 1640 engine pretty much all new parts bar the crankcasing and crank which has had all new bearings etc

looks like a great project! always had a soft spot for the splitties, be good to see how this one turns out! keep it up!

shes finally in primer!!!! the guy took his time filling and sanding her looks like new so we aint complaining

she will be left fairly standard but will have a newly rebuild 1640 with a performance ehaust system , standard carb and she wil be on steelies with hubs caps and a nice 3 bow roof rack maybe added in the future

and the green is going on tomorrow so will get pics off her fully painted tomorrow

shes in green but is the wrong bloody green , the suppliers we bought the paint off have mixed it wrong but the paint code is right apparently is a very rare colour but she will be getting resprayed the correct colour when we get the paint sorted

sorry forgot to upload some pics for uses! got her painted the colour she was ment to be , just set the lights in it for pics shes now home and have got headlamps wired in now all ready to go , trying to sort out the brakes and suspension at the minute and sort the wiring out and see what switches work etc but apart from that not much to report has got 4 coats of polish to! is a lovely garden feature at the minute
