hello all

ive noticed on my mini cooper that under the front footwell carpet has been damp lately. The bulkhead underlay is literally drenched.

Without me removing the whole dashboard i can see where its coming from. are there common places for water to leak through ?

many thanks
clark :)

It could be the windscreen seal that is leaking. Or maybe the hose that goes into the heater?

If the heater hose is leaking the coolant level will be falling!

i'm assuming the bulkhead hole that the pipe goes through as oposed to the heater pipe itself??... check grommets too

Could be a split hose, or a leaky heater matrix

my coolant level hasnt dropped at all since i bought it 4 months ago. The water seems to be mostly on the passenger side footwell. so i think i can rule that one out :)

Is it hard to remove the dash to get the insulation out?
Ive got a feeling the windscreen may be letting it in from the corner.
