Just retired looking for projects as I have time and interest in cars!! Particularly Minis.

I have owned umpteen Minis over the years currently have a Cooper Convertible Turbo that is good.

Just bought another Mini (very tarted up Wolseley Hornet minus an engine and drivetain).

So need a complete A series 1275+ and box and diff etc to fit the car.

BUT IT HAS OCCURRED TO ME.

I already have a Kawasaki 1200 complete with everything four cylinder running low mileage.

Is it a good idea to convert the car to Bike power? Its already got a ERA (type) bodykit and has been thoroughly moded so any originality is lost.

Looking for guidance really I have driven several bike engine cars mainly Westfields and lowcosts.

Anyone got any ideas about the reality of this on the road in the Mini.

Would it be a Dream or Nightmare.

I know the clutch is suspect from bikes because of the weight and inertia.

What about noise levels cruising speed etc.

Someone must know and I would appreciate suggestions.

Hi and welcome to YMF. I know nothing about bike engined minis, but I am sure there are others that do.

Have a look in there, that's the part of the forum dedicated to motorbike engine conversions, lots of interesting and helpful projects in there.
