We were yesterday at Brands for the first rally action there in 20 years. A great venue (nothing new) and a great organisation by Chelmsford Motor Club... free entrance and car park!!!
Unfortunately this beauty didn't make it to the last stage, after a crash in the penultimate lap when overtaking a slower car. The car had only made another rally before this one after its rebuilt.

I was there yesterday, was a brilliant day, especially for free! Didn't know about the mk1 crashing, how bad was it?

overtaking a slow yellow ford in the chicane, he lost it and hit the only concrete wall on the track
it was a shame as his times were being good. broke suspension and definitely needs a couple of new panels...
were you with a Mini? there was an Italian Job parked by my Chelsea when we left and spotted a white one with black roof behind the grandstand. there was also a yellow one parked by the pit lane...

ah that's a shame as it looked mint & he seemed to be doing pretty well
No unfortunantley I wasn't in a mini. I saw the yellow one in the pit lane & a blue sprite parked on the track under the bridge before clearways on the gp circuit.
