Hi all

I'm having trouble trying to locate a new relay for my dipped beam.
(The one that sits underneath the clocks behind the dash)

As a result i only have sidelights and would love to be able to see where i'm going again.

Can anybody shed some light on the subject.

(Poor joke i know)

Ta

blimey thats a hard part to come by, even looking on landrover sites they are having trouble finding it (use the same relay)
i suggest you e-mail somerford mini and ask. using the part code YWC 10050

good luck and let us know how you get on

it is only a standard 4 pin relay as used for wiring spotlamps and air horns etc, any good motorist shop will sell them, as long as it is rated for at least 20 amps you should be ok. Just check the terminals are numbered in the correct sequence as they should be:
30-supply from battery
87-output to headlights/
86-earth
85-switched live from column stalk

the terminals may be in a differnt order but just unclip the wires from the plug so they match the new relay configuration that's if it is different?

Hope this helps

Hey Nick

Cheers for the tip of the said part being used on Land Rovers.
Contacted my local dealership yesterday round 4pm who told me they could get one by today.

Mini'd over there at 2 today and picked up the part as promised.
(well done that dealership)

Stuck it in the right hole but still no joy!

Slightly frustrating as my dipped lights not working was an intermitent fault and a light tap of the relay box always sorted out the problem.

Time to follow the blue/red cable back from the relay connector as all apart from the obvious earth wire and this one have charge to them.

Don't know if the blue/red's meant to have charge to it though?

Haynes wiring diagrams have never been my forte.
