Hi guys, i sent the promotive guys a message and tried calling them with no luck.

Just a quick question to you all.....

Whats the sump clearance like? I've seen a few pictures of finished builds and it looks fairly low to the ground. Just wondering if anyone knew the difference between a standard mini and a R1 kit?

Quite tempted by a kit for my minus but it would just look rediculous sitting to far of the floor.

Thanks in advanced.

minus subframe is exactly the same as mini subframe isnt it ? so engine position / lower clearance would be the same ??
Promo has been put into a minus before - worked really well !

clearance is lower than standard mini but its never caused me any problems in the gay pink cabriolet.

its out at the moment otherwise I'd measure it for you............

excuse the arty farty ness of the picture - but you can see, it doesn't hang lower than my front bumper :genius:

Thanks for the information.

Sorry for the confusion, i mean due to the minus being 3 inches lower it would abreviate the ride height a lot more.

Making it look like a tractor!

I will be running 10's and coilovers so would like a respectable gap between the arches and the floor.

Whoever tries that would be very stupid....... Hang on a minute??

5pw sits lower than the 5jj yes, although mines very low there are no issues unless you go over speed bumps too quickly as when the car comes down the other side it can hit. However my suspension is set very low and I can only get a finger between my wheels and arch.
But at least they look easy to change if I do go through it.
I'll measure it tomorrow for you.
