"Custom Consoles" - Centre Console

Condition: Good
Price: £60- £50 Now £45 O.N.O (Open to reasonable offers)
Location: St.Neots - Cambridgeshire (Can post if required - £8 UK mainland)

I've decided to sell my "Custom Consoles" Centre Console. This version includes two "mini" air vents to direct warm air from your heater around the car, an illiminated 12v socket/cigarette lighter and a chrome gaiter ring that fits around the base of the gearstick. A "heater board" is also fitted between the vents and the heater to help direct warm air out of the vents and to protect items from hot air that you may have stored in the bottom of the console. This version of the console would cost £108 form new (£88 for the console, £8 for the 12v socket/cigarette lighter & £12 for the chrome gaiter ring).

The console is generally in good condition, but there is a scuff mark on the nearside panel (that has been caused by my clutch foot & isn't really that noticeable when the console is fitted). The heater board is slightly discoloured form a leaking heater matrix (this can't be seen when the console is fitted) and the bottom edges of both of the console sides are slightly swollen from absorbing water from the same water leak/wet carpets. (This is hardly noticeable when the console is fitted either, but could be easily covered with a length of sill trim if required). Alternatively custom consoles (the manufacturer) quote £21.50 to supply two replacement sides & a heater board if required.

The console is finished in a white/cream vinyl. If you wished to change the colour of the console, custom consoles (the manufacturer) quote £24.00 to recover the fascia and base in the colour of your choice.

The console is currently assembled (like in the 1st picture below) or I can supply it in kit form for postage or assembly reasons if required (like in the second picture below) I still have the full assembly instructions which will be included and the console needs to be in kit form for fitting into your mini anyway.

Yes I do still have the centre console if you're interested.

I bought the dash from a show a few years back it's a "GK" two clock MDF dash. It came unfinished & I sprayed it in BL White diamond to match the car, I'm not sure if you can still buy that particular dash but there are a few traders who supply similar plain unfinished MDF dashes that could be painted in the same way, This Guy is a member here on TMF & supplies them for £20 - £30 :)

The Mpi does have a different heater to the earlier models, as I understand it the main difference being the plumbing in that both heater pipes are on the passenger side of the car and the pipes also exit the heater matrix at 90 degrees on later models. I believe that the same plumbing and matrix was common to the Spi & late Hif 38 carb models as well as the Mpi though. As this console was removed from a 93 carb model the console should fit, as it is has the same heater plumbing & matrix as the MPi. As far as I'm aware the only actual difference between the MPi heater and the earlier Spi & Hif 38 carb models, was that the Mpi had a twin speed motor within it, which shouldn't affect the heaters shape & profile or the fitting of a console.

No problem, it's actually an off white/cream colour as opposed to brilliant white. If it's of any help it was fitted in my mini with a cream/beige half leather cooper interior as shown in the photo below:
