Blade type or old "four-fuse fuse block?
1. Top fuse is 35 amp.
2. next is 25 amp
3. then 25 amp
4. Bottom is 15 amp.
This is assuming a four fuse on later models and its wired up correctly.

two readings on the fuse... this means that it's the oldglass type fuses...
I suspect a bad connection

Put the right bulbs back in the rear for a start, the wrong bulbs are shorting out the lamp holders and causing the issue with the front sidelights and dash. Have you checked the fuse?
yea i only changed bulbs as a means of trying to find the fault but didn't so changed them back straight away.... yea i checked fuses, all look fine as do connectors, i thought it may be a faulty earth somewhere??

What a coincidence!
I have just got back from a local guy with the same issue, sidelights coming on with the brakes and it was exactly the same answer, wrong bulb in the unit, A single filament one LOL.
