the coulour means nothing,

I have to say I'm not a big fan of polly bushes, what are you looking to replace? there might be a better alternative.

It purely depends on the manufacturer of the bush. Most of the time, black ones are standard.

Super-Flex use 2 main colours, red and yellow. Red is race, yellow is road.

Colours of bushes at mini shows mean nothing however.

and poly bushes are one of the BEST upgrades to handling ever. Change all your bushes to poly and you'll notice a difference.

Depends where you use it. In some places (that people tend to use it on Minis) it's the very worst material you could choose. Motor manufacturers continue to choose rubber, despite it being more expensive, heavier, harder to work with and having a limited shelf life compared with poly and there's a reason for that.

Contact Martin @ http://www.mra-minis.co.uk/

I replaced all the rubbers on my old mini and he picked out a mixture of rubber and polybush ones for me depending on where they fit on the car. In some spots rubber is better, in others polybush is better. :shifty:

I agree it depends where they are used,

On engine steadys I have found them awful, in a short time they open up and let the engine move, for enine steadys the best I have used is the one peice uprated MPI rubber bush from minispares, also on bottom armshey seem to go baggy,

Polly seems good for static posotions like the rear trunion mounts, they seem ok fo ther tie bars too.

I have all my suspension, geometry and engine mounts poly bushed and it really means you can feel the road. Much better than rubber. In my opinion of course...

strange,

must have got stuck in the server,

for bottom arms I prefer rosejoints, they last fine as long as they are covered with a boot and greased properly.

Spax don't recommend the use of poly bushes on shockers at all yet the bump bush on their shocks is poly!
Poly bushes have there place but there are areas that should be avoided. Black poly bushes are more expensive to produce so we don't see as many black ones as the coloured variety. The colour can indicate a different hardness but it depends on who has made them. As already said the same manufacture will use different colours for different hardness but that's not the case when comparing the whole poly bush scene. One manufactures Red poly bush for race use may well be harder than another manufactures red one.
