right i have done a search but found nothing so here goes. im going to be getting some coilovers for the front of my mini and wondered how they mount on obviously you get the plate to mount to the inner wing but is that it ir do you need to strengthen it? do these plates just bolt straight into the original suspesion mountings or is more wholes required to be drilled? cheers for all the help i have gotten so far and look forward to get more cheers

It varies depending on who's kit you get. I was looking at one in Minisport the other week and the original top shock mount is replaced with a different one that bolts in to the same holes. It raises the height of the upper mounting pin and also moves it to the centre of the mounting similar to the way the lower mounting is brought above the bottom arm rather than in front of it as per the standard shock.

The top mounts bolt to the original 4 holes although some kits have 2 extra bolts which will require holes to be drilled from under the arch into the engine bay or vice versa

The bottom mounts just bolt unto the existing top arms and dont require anything drilled

The springs are standard fitments so you can get different rates and free lengths. Generally the shocks are adjustable and have adjustable spring seats. This little lot means you can adjust the handling to suit your car and driving style.

i made them my self i took the brackets to a laser cutting place and they made me some new ones but a bit longer so i could weld the brace bars i made on to them then made the inner wing a bit thicker where the brackets bolt on to
the coilovers are spax ones
