went out in babs earlier and there's something not right with her heater! at first it wouldn't start at all (not much help when the windows are all steamed up) and then about 5 mins into the journey it started but sounded like there was a mouse stuck inside the heater!! sounded awful! and then ever since when i first start the engine it doesn't work straight away!
is the heater dying on me??

you have to unbolt and unscrew it from under the dash. the hayns book got a good bit about it in it. basical all it is, is a heater core (smalll rad) either a fan or a blower and some shroud.

You can pick up a good 2nd hand one for about a tenner. Dead easy to change over providing you had the right tools. You will need some clamps for the water hoses, a screwdriver for the screws at the front of the dash and a spanner for the nut at the back.

...but sounded like there was a mouse stuck inside the heater!!

You can get rat and mouse poison from most DIY stores, or install a cat in your heater! :smartass:
