Home made spit
Price: £75
Location: Dorking in Surrey
Home made spit for a Mini. Just the right length to allow maximum garage room, I replaced both the front and rear ends as well as the floor while the body was on the spit, along with the spraying and a load of other jobs. Once you've used one you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

The car is suspended on a scaffold pole that passes through and is attached to the front bulkhead aperture and the rear seat aperture (on MkIII and earlier minis). Later cars will need a small hole cut in the rear seat back for the pole. Locking scaffold clamps allow the car to be held at any angle. The whole lot is strong enough to take the body shell with both subframes fitted and me inside it. The A frames are substantial box section stainless steel structures and the whole lot sits on heavy duty casters.

It comes apart for transport and should be available this coming weekend (19th) or the following weekend.
Collection from Dorking in Surrey. Once dismantled the individual parts are not heavy but I don't have access to a roof rack and can not deliver.
Use if for your restoration and then sell it on again!

I knew someone would ask that - slightly longer than a mini.
I'll have a measure tonight.
