Estate converted pickups. :xxx:

100% NO

Sorry... But no  . An Estate is an estate, possibly a van but never a pick up

(only my two pence though)

There were never as many Clubman estates made compared to normal minis, and there's not that many left now. I'd say don't try to turn it into a pickup.

Of course, it's your car, so it's up to you. Well maybe you and the insurance, VOSA, SVA etc etc as it'd be a radically altered vehicle.

to be honest you can get all the relavent panels for the pickup. The rear pillars, the rear bulkhead and screen surround. so it can be done to look like a pickup and like said above its your car so if you want to do it then go ahead. saying that, i acctually would convert it as the pickups are rarer than the estates, and yes i know its not strictly a pickup, but it would be close enough :L

id say no (even though im turning my clubby estate into a clubby van but thats another story) reasons being :proud:

1. the rear end (doors etc) slope, proper pick ups have a straight vertical tailgate so would look like a half arsed job

2. if it were converted to a pick up, the load bed will become a mini swimming pool when it rains as the wheel well will fill with water (unless you get a cover made)

3. clubman estates are pretty cool, and very handy when going to shows (you got space in the back to sleep! and to carry extra passengers whereas in a pick up, you can only carry 1 passenger)

NO!! :o

Firstly It will look terrible as a pickup and secondly it will also ruin a perfectly good clubby estate, which are "few & far between" enough as it is!! :)

I think you'd be better to sell your estate and try and find a pick up! Then the estate could stay as an estate!
