Thanks Hugh nuch appreciate it. Believe it or not, I was reading your.thread yesterday night before I went to be and took an extreme liking to your flitches repair part I'm thinking of getting some tin sniper perhaps just so I can get accurate cuts for panels Luke this
Hopefully my spot weld drill bits should be here.tomorrow so its going to be much easier to get the drivers side one off as it took me nearly 2 hours to get the passengers side one off >-<

Right well havent done any work on the estate since the last tiny update, but have recieved some spot weld drills so now can start un picking the spots that are a killer to get off without a drill also need to order myself a new door post as when i cut the flitches off, i stupidly cut straight down the hinge panel
In other news, I now have a complete front end The old one off of kams vtec mini. I dont have a pic but ill search on his thread for a decent one

Right me and the cousin chris ^^^^^ cracked on with the estate today. Firstly we needed to make a panel to sit at the top of the flitch which we then welded in then we got the under scuttle welded in fully, primed and hamerited the lot, and then tacked the rubbish pattern scuttle corner that doesnt even fit properly in place.
Will stick some pictures up in a while when my phones charged.

LOL at you dan :L you do make me i mean US giggle some times :L
Right so here are some progress pictures.
And then it got painted in lovely red hammerite
Also, could someone suggest a way in which we could make the scuttle cornersfit as the pattern panels are so horendeously badly fitting
And in other news, i will soon be the proud owner of an 85 mayfair purchasing from davevader off here, so will have a long term project and a runner not that anyone cares about that <<<<< statement :L
Let us know what ya think, even if you acctually think it is the worst repair job in the world

Is the scuttle a Heritage one or a pattern part if so that's where a lot of your problem lie. Also your cut is too high but that can be over come.
Even the Heritage panel will need a bit of work especially the window lip which will need to be trimmed back. If everything is slightly too big then you can trim it back with no problems.
