Right, you might remember i had a thread ages ago called "van rebuild by a teenager". Well thats no longer a go go and is now in the safe hands of old skool lewis on here. Anyway, ive now got a Clubman estate thats in a better condition than the van was. She was braught in november time for the sum of a hard earned £300 and that was with delivery. She was manafactured on 31st of December 1981 but not registered untill march (i think) of 1982. She was residing in the bristal area all her life until i got hold of her, the previous owner was planning on redtop'ing her but didnt have the time so thats when i braught her.

Shes in abit of a state, but im doing her over a long period of time when money and time allows :- Im currently studying Motorsport engineering at college and working weekends at the local Icelands (yes i know abit of a change from the subject im studying, but it brings in abit of money :)) I plan to sort all the rust first off, and then go for a early estate styling such as wood side trim, centre speedo, period buckets etc i want 4.5j cooper S steelies under group 6 arches and then put on the deck .

Anyway enough of me blabbering on, heres some pics :)

And i acctually did some work for the first time today on her  great feeling it is

New one placed to see to what the positioning is like

Also tried out my new welder for the first time today on the old clubman wings that were cut off :) bearing in mind it is using Co2 as the shielding gas

So hope you all enjoy, and i will actually be doing work on this one when i have spare time :D so there will be updates just not that regularely :D

Let us know what you think

No , they arent heritage Nick :s
You cant get heritage scuttle corners and you can see on that because of the sticker and the powdercoating that its a pattern part , heritages are powdercoated gloss black ;) , the stuff on yours will probably come off when you peel the sticker off.

IIRC new panels are E-coated, powdercoat is way thicker and not much use if panels are going to be welded in

All I know is , is that the heritage panels are better , those are the ones that I think are E-coated. With the pattern parts , I've had the coating come off when I've peeled the sticker off and even when taking the welder to it , it's taken most of the coating off.
