I just got the shock of my life looking at my daily drive on parkers. Apparently It's insurance group 28! I only thought insurance groups went up to 20, is this a mistake? I'm a bit worried about my renewal now

edit: it's a 2010 Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart (parkers clicky)

They have changed to 50 grouping now but this website is still the old style:
http://www.thatcham....ex.jsp?page=343

The group as such is still similar in price between the 20 groups and 50 groups its just supposed to be more accurate i think if not more confusing :)

If any of this makes sense...

Does that mean a group 28 on the new 50 system is more like an 11 on the old 20 system? My old car was an 11 and it only cost me 80 quid to change the insurance over. Hopefully my renewal wont be too bad.

If you use the link in my previous post it may tell you  I think it usually says the 1-20 group and the 1-50 group
